3+0 Degree Programs
Under the ’3+0′ program, students are allowed to complete their entire study for a degree awarded by the foreign partner universities at Malaysian institutions. The main idea behind the program is to allow parents and students to save substantially on the study cost. Currently many colleges are offering these programs in collaboration with partner universities in United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and France allowing the students to comlete the entire Bachelor’s degree program in Malaysia.
Under this program, students register for both the Malaysian institutions and partner universities. Hence, students follow the same syllabus, subjected to the same method of assessment and finally obtain the same qualifications as students in the partner universities overseas.
Savings
The ’3 + 0′ degree program offers substantial savings.
Parents saved on cost fees, living expenses and travelling cost. All the costs are paid in Malaysian Ringgit. It is estimated that savings are around RM90,000 – RM 150,000 for the entire degree. Savings vary depending on the type of degree and the foreign partner university.
Qualify Assured
The ’3+0′ degree programs in Malaysia are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and accredited by the quality assurance agency – Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
To maintain the high quality of the program, the foreign partner university sends lecturers to the Malaysian institution to lecture and also regularly conduct audits. Therefore, students can be assured that the ’3+0′ degree programs offered by Malaysian’s Institutions have the same standard as those provided by the foreign partner university.
